Danske aktivister stoppet af græsk politi

Græsk politi forbyder orange tøj ved OL fakkeloptog

10 orange aktivister er blevet forbudt adgang til at følge OL-faklen i Grækenland. De blev stoppet allerede 70 km før byen Larissa hvor de havde planlangt at være en fredelig del af fakkel-optoget.

Efter et par frigivelser og derefter yderligere politi-stop fortalte de lokale politifolk at de havde fået ordre til af politimesteren om at forhindre alle der havde noget at gøre med TheColorOrange projektet at komme ind i de græske ’fakkel-byer’”. I skrivende stund (fredag kl. 16.40) befinder danskerne sig i en ekskorte med flere politibiler foran og bagved for at forhindre dem i at komme væk fra hovedvejen.

De danske aktivister er taget til Grækenland for fredeligt at deltage i fakkel-ceremonierne iklædt Orange tøj som symbol på at menneskerettighederne bliver overtrådt i Kina.

Så lige nu har vores 10 aktivister rejst 3.000 km for at blive tilbageholdt af det græske politi i forbindelse med en absolut fredelig orange aktion. Lidt grotesk, da et af kampagnens sloganer er ”Kan Kina forbyde orange”, men nu prøver grækerne åbenbart at komme kineserne i forkøbet.
