22th February

Orange Action during the Lightning of the Olympic Torch

Athens: We are sending a team to Greece to join the ceremony, when the Olympic Torch is being handed over to the Olympic Committee of Beijing March 30th in Athens. During the days before this ceremony, the Torch is to follow a 1528 kilometres route through Greece. Both during the last part of the route (from the city Larisa) and the ceremony  our ColorOrangeTeam is going to make a number of small actions to put focus on the campaign and spread out the message making use of broadsheets, orange balloons, bracelets, dressing, orange pens etc. Maybe we'll wait for its arrival with orange flags in the mark for each of the last three days.

Maybe you're there right now or you've planned a trip to Greece. Join the team and help highlighting the campaign during the Olympic Torch relay. The team is staying at a hotel in Athens.

Help us making Orange actions when the Olympic Torch continues!

After the planned route through Greece the Torch will continue hand-to-hand by torchbearers in different countries around the world. Perhaps you're exactly in the right place at the right time! The Torch is passing through the following cities (outside China) at the given dates:

April 2nd:   Almaty

April 3rd:   Istanbul

April 5th:   St. Petersburg

April 6th:   London

April 7th:   Paris

April 9th:   San Francisco

April 11th: Buenos Aires

April 13th: Dar es Salaam

April 14th: Muscat

April 16th: Islamabad

April 17th: New Delhi

If you're around one of these cities when the Torch is passing, you could be a part of the Color Orange Torch Relay team by making some orange actions like the ones, we've planned for Greece. This is a great opportunity for the campaign to reach as many people around the world as possible. Pleace contact us, and let us know, if you're interested, which city you're in. You should know, that the making of the actions is self-organisation. We'll gladly bring together the people, who turn in to help, but it's up to you and your creative minds finding out what to make!

We'll also be glad to receive ideas for orange actions for the teams to make.
